GALILEO Y EL DESCUBRIMIENTO DE NEPTUNO. Galileo Galilei fue el primero que lo observó el 28.12.1612 (Padova, 05:00 hs) creyendo que era una estrella en las cercanías de Júpiter. Magnitud de "Neptuno"ː +7,9 y magnitud de Júpiterː -2,1. Distancia angular Júpiter - "Neptuno": 13’ 58,36” (ESE). Urbain Le Verrier predijo con sus cálculos su ubicación al igual que John Couch Adams. Johann Galle según los cálculos de los astrónomos anteriores lo descubrió formalmente el 23.09.1846. |
