Summary[edit]

Description
English: Remaining piers of a former railroad bridge in the Naugatuck River in Waterbury, seen in March 2023. This was the original alignment of the Naugatuck Railroad. Around 1910, the mainline was rerouted as part of the construction of Waterbury Union Station, but the bridge remained in use for an industrial spur. It was destroyed by the 1955 floods and rebuilt. The new bridge was disused by the 1980s, and the bridge deck was removed around 2009.
