Summary[edit]
DescriptionNational Gallery Singapore Art Museum at City Hall in Singapore 2 - Ypphotography.jpg |
English: The National Gallery Singapore Art Museum often known exonymously as the National Gallery, is a public institution and national museum dedicated to art and culture.
It is a leading visual arts institution that oversees the world’s largest public collection of Singapore and Southeast Asian modern art. Situated at the birthplace of modern Singapore, in the heart of the Civic District, the Gallery is housed in two national monuments - City Hall and the former Supreme Court - that have been beautifully restored and transformed into an exciting 64,000-square-metre venue. This photo was captured on a Sunday during the Chinese New Year week-long festive occasion, and on this day itself, we were able to come in contact with many of the foreign workers who generally take a break on a Sunday amid their busy work schedule and we coincidentally saw many of them attended the Light to Night festival held by SSO and National Gallery Singapore at the art museum location on this day. Despite the gloomy weather we experienced on that day with dark grey clouds and loud thunders that rings throughout the sky, it was also filled with many people, smiles, waves of laughter, and more, it was a joy to witness this on such a mundane day. |
