Description
Deutsch: Bonaparte am Thron Karls des Großen (1804) in Aachen. Er verharrte am 7. September 1804 andächtig vor dem Grab Karls des Großen, vor der am 2. Dezember 1804 in der Kathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris zelebierten Krönung. Vom Künstler für die Ausstellung im Salon von 1898 vergebener Originaltitel.
Français : Bonaparte au trône de Charlemagne (1804) à Aix-la-Chapelle. Il s'y recueilla sur le tombeau de Charlemagne le 7 septembre 1804 avant la célébration du sacre le 2 décembre 1804 à la cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris. Titre original attribué par l'artiste pour l'exposition au salon de 1898.
