Object history Acquisition. Saisi à la Révolution dans les églises et couvents de Paris. Le tableau provient peut-être des Capucins du Marais où se trouvait une Cène d’un maître inconnu (après avoir étudié toutes les Cènes saisies à la Révolution dans les églises parisiennes et documentées, il ne peut s’agir que de cette oeuvre, voir les Archives de l’Art français, II, p. 293, n° 1473). Il a été envoyé par l'Etat au Musée des Beaux-arts de Lille en 1803. Musée du Louvre Dépôt au Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nantes en 1997.
