Summary[edit]

Description

The Internet is a vital part of modern life, but how was it created? NSF produced this special report, "NSF and the Birth of the Internet," to examine how the technology behind the Internet was created and how NSFNET, a network started to help university researchers in the 1980s, grew to become the Internet we know today.
