Description

NSB and NSF presented annual awards to honor outstanding research and public service contributions at an evening ceremony at the U.S. State Department on May 5, 2015. NSF’s leadership gathered for a photo before the ceremony. From left to right: James Olds, assistant director for Biological Sciences; Wanda Ward, head of the Office of Integrative Activities; Roger Wakimoto, assistant director for Geosciences; NSF Director France Córdova; Pramod Khargonekar, assistant director for Engineering; Joan Ferrini-Mundy, assistant director for Education and Human Resources; James Kurose, assistant director for Computer and Information Sciences and Engineering; Fay Cook, assistant director, Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences; and Fleming Crim, assistant director for Mathematical and Physical Sciences.
