Summary[edit]

Description U.S. Navy Ryan NR-1 and Stearman N2S trainers are tilted on their noses to pack in as many aircraft as possible in a hangar at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida (USA). A hurricane was approaching the station when this photo was taken on 13 September 1941. N2S No. 22 was the first ever reworked at the Assembly and Repair Shop (Fleet Readiness Center Southeast today).
