Description
English: Chemical diagram showing the synthesis of fentanyl from NPP. The first step is reductive amination of N-phenethyl-4-piperidinone (NPP) with aniline. The second step is acylation of the intermediate (ANPP) with propionyl chloride to give fentanyl.
