David Moore, a cavalry scout from Roanoke, Ala., watches troop movements from the inside of a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle by using a Joint Battle Command-Platform system during Network Integration Evaluation 14.2 here. Moore and the rest of the 1st Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, will be testing various mounted and dismounted systems while conducting convoy, reconnaissance and security missions as part of the exercise. This is the first NIE to provide opportunities for joint and multi-national experiences due to the participation of a U.S. Marine Corps Infantry Battalion and United Kingdom mechanized brigade headquarters.
