Theresa Mathawaphan is the Chief Strategy Officer, National Innovation Agency (NIA), Thailand.

Sustainable Development e-Talks (SDGtalks) series is co-hosted by CNS and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore.

Theresa discusses the ways Thailand deals with the sustainable development issues which makes its people can sustain their lives and leverage the quality of living. It will also cover the importance of innovation toward the social sustainability, especially in the crisis time as in the current period of COVID-19.

Two special experts shared examples of using innovation to advance progress on SDGs.

• Dr Tara Singh Bam, Deputy Regional Director (Asia Pacific), International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union) Singapore, shared key learnings from social innovative approaches for stronger well-coordinated local actions are instrumental in advancing progress on tobacco control and NCDs prevention

• Professor (Dr) Rishi Sethi, noted cardiologist, heart disease researcher and biomedical innovation expert shared use of artificial intelligence and machine learning based solutions for healthcare challenges, especially during pandemics.
