Object history Commande pour une statue équestre du général Alvear à Buenos Aires ; après la statue équestre terminée en 1915, Bourdelle s'attaqua aux allégories. Elles devaient orner les quatre angles du socle du monument, deux hommes pour la Force et l’éloquence, deux femmes pour la Liberté et la Victoire du Droit. Bourdelle dédia cette Victoire au maréchal Pétain.
