LAWRENCE J. DOLANSealer of Weights and Measures LAWRENCE J. DOLAX. appointedSealer in 1913, was born in San Fran-cisco and educated in the public schools,later engaging in the plumbing trade. In1893-94 he was commissary in the Sheriffsdepartment, and was elected Assemblyman in1897, representing the old Thirty-fifth Dis-trict. He served in the Assessors office im-der Washington Dodge and became Sheriff in1908. Mr.Dolan was married in 1908 to MissMargaret Burns of this city. He is a mem-ber of the Plumbers and Gas Fitters Lnion,Native Sons and Eagles. More than twenty thousand false weightsand measures were condemned by SealerDolan in the first six months of his admin-istration, and there has been no abatement ofhis efforts since then to fully protect thepublic in this regard.
