Summary
[edit]DescriptionMultimorbidity coefficient of the top 100 conditions for Black (A), south Asian (B), and White individuals (C).jpg |
English: "Each bar shows the multimorbidity coefficient in each population, shown on a scale of 0 to 6, with white bands indicating a coefficient of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6, as indicated on the scale. The multimorbidity coefficient is the sum of the positive partial correlations of a condition with all 307 other conditions in the subgroups. It quantifies the strength of a condition's association with other conditions in the study. A high coefficient indicates a condition that might share common risk factors with many other conditions, while a low coefficient suggests a condition that is unlikely to share disease pathways with other conditions. COPD=chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. GORD=gastro-oesophageal reflux disease. LRTI=lower respiratory tract infection. URTI=upper respiratory tract infection. UTI=urinary tract infection." |
