Summary[edit]
DescriptionMouth of the River Thaw. - geograph.org.uk - 1190457.jpg |
English: Mouth of the River Thaw. As a result of the building of Aberthaw Power Station, the River Thaw was to some extent straightened as it approached its estauary. The estuary, just east of here, once afforded access to the sea and was, though small, an active port. This is now its mouth, emptying straight into the sea. Massive engineering works were carried out on constructing the defensive sea wall and it can be seen how immense they are, particularly at this point. |
