English: Morphology of pitting of inclusion on 304 stainless steel after immersion tests of 0 s, 5 s, 2 min, 5 min, 10 min. The test solution comprised 350 ml deionized water with 69.9 g FeCl3∙6H2O and 20 ml HCl (36–38 mass%). Each inclusion in the picture is (a) (Al,Mn)O inclusions, (b) Al2O3 inclusions wrapped in (Al,Mn)O inclusions, and (c) (Al,Mn,Si)O inclusions wrapped in (Al,Mn)O inclusions.
