Description
English: Moorland Pond below Sharpitor, Dartmoor, Devon. This pond was a popular drinking hole for sheep and ponies when the photographer visited - also a popular photo stop for many tourists using the road between Yelverton and Princetown. Situated on a ridge approx 1200 feet above sea level. The tall thin structure on the skyline behind the pond is the television transmission mast at North Hessary Tor (above Princetown) approx 5km NE of the pond.
