Description
Español: En la imagen podemos apreciar el monumento en homenaje a personas que perdieron su vida luchando por sus ideales y convicciones a causa de la intolerancia y la represión de un estado.

En 1975 y 1976 Armando Ruperto "Yiyi" Torres, Dardo Cesar "Moniche" Torres, Edgardo Buenaventura "El Chato" Torres, cuyos nombres están grabados hoy en día en dicho monumento, integraban la comisión interna de la química Mebomar S.A en Monte Grande, Esteban Echeverría. Los mismos, junto a otros compañeros de trabajo, fueron secuestrados en diciembre del '76. La gente cree que fueron secuestrados porque ellos eran los trabajadores que mas luchaban y se manifestaban en busca de mejores condiciones de trabajo.

Una vecina del distrito fuera la encargada de llevar a cabo la idea del mismo en la cual se proyecta el monolito con un hombre y una mujer con las manos atadas atrás, un espacio para las placas de los fusilados y desaparecidos, y un gran obelisco en el centro que simboliza la elevación de las personas en todos sus sentimientos. Esta vecina realizó la obra con ayuda de sus alumnos del taller de escultura y personal municipal.


English: Monument to workers at the former Mebomar chemical company in the Buenos Aires suburb of Monte Grande, abducted by the dictatorship at the depths of the Dirty War in December 1976 in retaliation for advocating for better working conditions and presumed dead.

Created by Argentine sculptor Patricia Simek, and inaugurated on March 24, 2017.
