Description

Joaquim José de Carvalho (1895-1975) integrou - com Manuel Machado de Oliveira, Vitor Leão Pacheco, Pedro Augusto da Fonseca, Agostinho Augusto Pereira e o Padre Moisés da Silva – a Comissão Pró-Concelho de Palmela que obteve a restauração do Município em 1926 (a extinção do concelho, com integração no de Setúbal ocorreu em 1855).

Na sequência da Restauração, que se comemora anualmente em Novembro, Joaquim J. de Carvalho assumiu as funções de Presidente da Comissão Administrativa da Câmara Municipal de Palmela.
