Description

Olterdissenmonument, in 1961 ontworpen door Willem Hofhuizen.

Fons Olterdissen (1865-1923) is de bekendste Maastrichtse volksliederen en dialectschrijver. Nog steeds worden zijn theaterstukken uitgevoerd zoals de "Kaptein vaan Köpenick" en "Trijn de Begijn". Uit dit laatste stuk is "Hoera Viva Mestreech" bekend als 't Mestreechs Volksleed.
