Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Eastern wall (also called Macugnaga wall) of the Monte Rosa mountain massif in Switzerland, viewed from Monte Moro pass. This wall has a height of 2.400 metres above the valley below (at lower edge, just outside the image) and is the highest mountain wall of the Alps. The border between Switzerland and Italy extends roughly on the upper rim of the massif, thus from left to right. The depicted mountain wall is thus on Italian territory, while the peaks visible are mostly on the border or just on Swiss territory.
