| Description |
Português: Montante ou Espada de Duas Mãos. Aço, latão couro e madeira. Grande arma branca de comprido punho e lâmina estreita e comprida, de dois gumes e canelura central até meio do comprimento. Apresenta duas orelhas na lâmina. O punho alongado de madeira é revestido a tecido e com cravejamento de tachas de latão. A guarda de quartões retos de ferro é terminada em botão e com argolas duplas formando uma só peça. Eram armas, no século XVI, já quase só de cerimónia e desaparecendo com a utilização das armas de fogo. Pedro de Belmonte trabalhava para os duques de Bragança nos finais do séc. XVI. |
