Description
English: Southerly aspect across Gladstone Pier to Church Bay, with houses on Pauaohinekotau Head to the Left.

Replacing the 25 year-old Godley, designed by Robert Allan of Vancouver, built by Titan Marine Engineering at Auckland and named after the Rugby player Todd Blackadder, the 23.8 metre, $7 million, Blackadder was the most powerful harbour tug in New Zealand when she arrived at Lyttelton in September, 2002.

Powered by twin Caterpillar Diesels, she's driven by Rolls-Royce Azimuthing stern thrusters. Operated by two crew, the tug has a small pantry and mess area in the wheelhouse, with two staterooms and a spacious lounge below the main deck.
