Title
Modern Snake-Head Bracelet
Description
English: A complete and misshapen Modern bracelet with snake-head terminals. The hoop, 2.8mm wide and about 1.1mm thick, is decorated on the outer face and is flat and plain on the inner face. It expands in width at each end to form terminals. On the top of each head is a gilded circular depression with the remains of a red glass setting. Decoration on the hoop consists of a pattern of alternating raised motifs arranged transversely; a sub-rectangular billet alternating with three contiguous annulets. At one point the pattern is interrupted where there is a soldered join, possibly a repair. Length (if straightened): c. 173mm; width: 2.8mm; thickness: c. 1.1mm; weight: 1.11g.
