| Description |
English: Model Boating. This yachting pool in Valley Parkway, beside Bournville Lane was built in 1932-33 by unemployed men. Today it is the home of the Bournville Model Yacht and Power Boat Club, one of the oldest of its kind in the country. See http://www.bournville-web.net/clubs/mypboat.htm .
Here the club is starting to pack up after their day's activities in support of the RNLI. The man wading across the pool is going to recover a model power boat that flipped upside down during some over enthusiastic cornering! |
