Description
English: c/n Mitsubishi 3014. Real tail cord of Imperial Japanese Navy is Unknown, 81-124 which is transmitted in one theory is that of Mitsubishi 3013. This is the sole surviving example of this important type. 671 were built between 1942 and 1945. Designed for local defense, they had some success against daylight raids by B-29 Superfortress. Captured at Atsugi airfield near Tokyo, Japan, in 1945, it was transported back to the US for testing. In 1958, after time at a technical college, became part of the Ed Maloney collection and, since restored. It is now on display at Planes of Fame Air Museum, Chino, California, USA. 20th September 2019 Main landing gear and drop tank
