English: Photograph of Mission Santa Barbara, showing general view from hill to the east, California, 1898. In the background at center, a ruined stone wall can be seen attached to the hillside. Beside the wall, a small wooden platform covered in weeds and vegetation is visible. To the right of the platform, a curved dirt road running alongside the church can be seen. In the extreme background at center, the mission church can be seen. At center, the two bell towers are visible flanking the central entryway. To the left of the bell towers, a wall lined with large arches is visible. To the right of the bell towers, the body of the church can be seen surrounded by trees and vegetation. Beyond the church, large mountains can be seen.
