Summary[edit]

Description
English: Mission San Carlos Borromeo, more familiarly known as the Carmel Mission, was built in 1797. it is one of the most authentically restored Roman Catholic mission churches in California. It is the only mission church that still has its original bell and bell tower. It currently serves as a place of worship as well as a venue for concerts, art exhibits and lectures. It also serves as a museum, preserving its own history and the history of the area, and it is on the United States National Register of Historic Places.
