English: 1890s cartoon depicts a well dressed man and woman standing on a sidewalk, watching a woman riding a safety bicycle on the street. The cartoon promotes the attitude of the time that riding a bicycle as somehow inherently "male", and a woman on a bicycle was "Manly".
