Summary[edit]

Description
English: Vung Tau, South Vietnam. April 1970. The Minister for External Affairs, Mr William McMahon, heard first hand accounts of the war from many servicemen when he visited the 1st Australian Logistic Support Group (1ALSG) base. On the right is Chief Petty Officer John Dollar of Maroubra, NSW, and Lieutenant Ross Blue of Waverton, NSW (second from right). Both are members of the RAN Clearance Diving Team in Vietnam. The Minister was accompanied by the Commanding Officer 1ALSG, Colonel M. Simkin of Red Hill, ACT (left). The Peter Badcoe Club is in the background.
