中文（中国大陆）：明代永乐至宣德年间（1403—1435）的主要军事和外交探险活动。

黑色：郑和船队第七次下西洋的路线（1431—1433）。

  • 实线：《前闻记·下西洋》所载船队从南京到忽鲁谟斯的航线。
  • 虚线：洪保使团前往榜葛剌、阿剌毕和非洲的可能航线（据《瀛涯胜览》《明史》等）。
  • 点线：在古里派遣七人随古里（或天方）船只前往天方国默伽和蓦底纳的路线。
  • 红点：郑和船队或成员在七次下西洋中造访过的城市。
  • 绿点：郑和生平中的重要地点，及马欢造访过的天方城市。

蓝色：亦失哈从吉林船厂沿松花江和黑龙江出巡奴儿干路线（1411-1426）。

绿色：陈诚出使帖木儿帝国的大致路线（1414、1416、1420）。
