English: U.S. Army Col. Vernon Simpson, commander of the 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team and Multinational Battle Group-East, greets Spc. Cindy Ortiz, a military working dog handler from the 100th Military Working Dog Detachment out of Miesav, Germany, along with her partner, Sgt. Hundie, during an awards ceremony held Oct. 13, 2015, at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. Ortiz, who has completed her tour of duty in Kosovo and is scheduled to return to her home station, was awarded the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and NATO Medal, for her service as part of NATO’s Kosovo Force peace support mission. “I’m really grateful to MNBG-E for the opportunities and experiences that helped me to grow in my career while deployed to Kosovo,” Ortiz said.
