Title
Military Button Cover
Description
English: A Victorian military button cover from a button of the School Of Musketry. Originally this would have been a three piece die cast button. Only the copper alloy cover remains. The design shows two crossed muskets surmounted by a crown and surrounded by the words School Of Musketry.

The School Of Musketry was originally established in 1853. In 1861 the War Department purchased the North Euston Hotel in Fleetwood to be used as a School Of Musketry for officers. It was relocated in 1867 when the building reverted to its original use.
