Description
English: Mile Stone on southern shore of Loch Ness. This historical milestone represented the start of the measured mile during John Cobb's water speed record attempt on 29 September 1952 when he lost his life in the process. His boat, The Crusader had just achieved 206.89 mph prior to the accident.
