Summary[edit]
DescriptionMidnight Martian Sun (2700800424).jpg |
This composite shows the sun at midnight local Mars time over the course of several Martian days. From its vantage point in the far north during these summer days, the Phoenix lander never sees the sun set. Weather observations continue apace, with the spacecraft actually working straight through the night recently, and the mission team has prepared the dig site to collect a sample of hard, icy soil.
