| Description |
English: Midleton - Jameson Heritage Centre and Distillery Location is at Distillery Road, just east of Main Street. This old distillery, once the home of Jameson Irish whiskey, offers a 1-hour guided tour that begins with an audio visual presentation, followed by a walk through this restored industrial facility that includes a fully operational water wheel that was used to operate equipment, large grain stores, mills, malting houses, still houses, old offices & warehouses, and the largest pot still in the world. The tour ends with a whiskey tasting session and comparison of various whiskeys and some time in the gift shop. |
