Summary[edit]

Description
English: Houses on the east side of Broad Street, Middletown, Connecticut near Washington Street (Connecticut Route 66). The first two are contributing properties of the Washington Street Historic District (NRHP reference number 85001018), and the others of the Broad Street Historic District (NRHP reference number 88001319). Both districts are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Finally, the fourth house is a former rectory also listed on the NRHP along with the related Church of the Holy Trinity (Reference # 79002615).


From left to right:

  • 160 Broad Street, c. 1870, Queen Anne, now A.R. Mazzotta employment agency
  • 158 Broad Street, c. 1870, Queen Anne, now Futures Gift Shop and Sweet Harmony Cafe & Bakery.
  • 148 Broad Street, 1861, Victorian Italianate, Charles C. Hubbard House
  • 144 Broad Street, 1902-1903, Colonial Revival, Church of the Holy Trinity and Rectory, also known as the Bishop Acheson House, and is now a retirement home operated by St. Luke's.
  • 138 Broad Street, 1883-1884, Stick Style, Joseph Elliott House

The high-rise in the background is MiddleOak Insurance.
