Description
Søren Bondhagen (ca. 1824-1899) was well known in North Jutland as a peddler of songs, straw hats and garters - all produced by himself. He also came to the Anchers' house, and Michael Ancher painted him a number of times. Source: Lise Svanholm (ed.), Skagensleksikon, Gyldendal, 2003, page 30-31.
