Summary[edit]

Description The effect of weathering on electroless nickel plating as compared to other types of nickel-coated steeks. In studies conducted at the National Bureau of Standards, the electroless nickel plate (b) withstood the 15-month exposure with very little corroding, as did the electrodeposited nickel coat with 9 percent phosphorus (c). However, the electrodeposited sample (a) rusted moderately.
