  • Scope and content: Original Caption: BOILERS OF INTERNED GERMAN CRUISED DESTROYED. The boilers of the interned German cruised Geier were destroyed before the U.S. took over the vessel on her entry in the war. This photo was taken Feb. 4, 1917, and shows the vessel docked at Honolulu.
