| Description |
English: Memorial to the creation of Hightown Common, Ringwood. The inscription on this stone pillar has been somewhat vandalised but reads:
"Erected by the Commons and Footpaths Preservation Society in memory of their founder and late president The right Honourable George John Shaw Lefevre Baron Everlsey which purchased this common with funds subscribed by their members and friends and dedicated it to the nation 1929" This society is now called the Open Spaces Society. |
