| Description |
English: Memorial to Caroline Mackenzie, daughter of Lord Seaforth. The Brahan Seer foresaw this death, prophesying in the 17th century that Lord Seaforth's possessions would be inherited by a "white-hooded lassie from the east (Lady Hood) who would kill her sister". Caroline Mackenzie was killed in 1823 when a carriage driven by her sister, Lady Hood, overturned and the horses bolted. See item under http://www.clan-mackenzie.org.uk/clan/seer.html . |
