Description
Deutsch: Droste-Hülshoff-Gymnasium (Meersburg)

Das Gebäude des Priesterseminars, das oberhalb der Reblage Rieschen und über dem Hafen thront, wurde immer für Ausbildungszwecke genutzt: von 1735 bis 1825 zur Ausbildung katholischer Priester, dann als katholisches Lehrerseminar, Aufbaurealschule (1925–1937), Reichsfinanzschule (1937–1945), Pädagogium für angehende Volksschullehrer (1946–1953) und als Aufbaugymnasium (seit 1952). Die Schule heißt heute Droste-Hülshoff-Gymnasium. Durch diese Zweckbestimmungen war die im Priesterseminar gelegene Barockkapelle mit Deckenfresken für die Öffentlichkeit nie zugänglich.
