Summary[edit]

Description
English: Medstead & Four Marks Station, Hampshire The highest railway station in southern England. Trains, passing through this station, were known as going "Over the Alps", due to its altitude! Even in summer, it can be cold up here, as I can testify after staying with my grandparents in the mid 1960's; they lived about half a mile from the station.
