Medieval or post medieval lead weight
Description
English: A lead standing weight of Medieval to Post-Medieval date. It is sub-conical in form. The apex is flattened vertically and pierced with a small circular hole. There is inscribed decoration of four crossed lines on the base. These weights were used for a long period and lack many diagnostic features, so are difficult to date.

Length: 40.5mm, thickness at base: 30.9mm, thickness at apex: 21.5mm
