Description |
English: Medieval dog’s head spout from an ewer, with round sectioned neck. Engraved details comprise a row of short transverse lines along the brow, oblique dashes for the eyebrows, the eyes and the nostrils. Traces of solder on the concave attachment end. This concavity shows that the spout was attached to the neck of the vessel. Overall length 77mm. Weight 76.9g. 15th century. |
