medieval copper alloy purse loop
Description
English: Medieval cast copper-alloy purse loop, late 15th to early 16th century. The loop is oval in shape and is cast in one with the shank (broken) which would have passed through the central block of the purse frame. There is also a stepped collar where the loop is joined to the shaft. The loop is abraded and no original surface has survived.
