Title
Medieval/Post-Medieval vessel rim fragment
Description
English: Rim fragment of a medieval/post-Medieval copper alloy cooking vessel fragment. It weighs 59.80g, is 3mm thick and measures 108x34mm. It is covered in a green patina, some of which has been scratched recently revealing the shiney metal. The outer surface is blakend from sooting. One area of this outer face, 23x15mm, appears to have partially broken away and been replaced. This area is subsequently raised, and is less patinated than the rest of the fragment. Copper alloy cooking vessels were common between 1200 and c.1600.
