T. MORAN. N.Z.E.F.

Notes Victory Medal 1914-19, WW1 Medal awarded to 23216 Pte Thomas Moran, New Zealand Rifle Brigade and Otago Infantry Regiment, NZEF. Thomas Moran embarked with the 4th Reinforcements, 4th Battalion, New Zealand Rifle Brigade (H Company), on 27 May 1916, aboard the Tofua (HMNZT 55). He was serving with the 2nd Battalion, Otago Infantry Regiment when he was killed in action just three months later. He has no known grave and his death is commemorated at the Caterpillar Valley (New Zealand) Memorial, Caterpillar Valley Cemetery, Longueval, Somme, France.
