Tuesday, October 2, 2018 (Hunt Valley, MD0 - County Executive Don Mohler joined McCormick leadership to celebrate the grand opening of the new McCormick & Company Headquarters. In April 2015, after a 16-month search across three states, McCormick announced the selection of 99 Shawan Road in Hunt Valley as their preferred location for a new company headquarters. The company hired the development firm Greenfield Partners LLC to refurbish the 300,000 SF building and site to create an attractive indoor and outdoor campus for 900 employees that were located across several buildings in Hunt Valley and Sparks. A former Verizon building was gutted and the old façade removed. A new façade was installed and it quickly became apparent how different the new building would be. The new headquarters building creates an open, inspirational work environment and offers an exceptional opportunity for collaboration and employee engagement. There will also be added benefits to the company of expanded efficiencies through better space utilization as well as energy efficiency and sustainability. The $10 million LEED Gold-certified project was completed in July 2018. |
